Citizens Bank and Trust Announces Launch of Statement of Purpose, Core Values, and Employee Volunteer Program

Guntersville, August 8, 2017 — Citizens Bank & Trust today announced the launch of its Statement of Purpose, Core Values, and employee volunteer program called “Spirit of Citizens”.

On June 29, 2017, Citizens Bank & Trust held an employee meeting at which the employee-formed Statement of Purpose & Core Values were officially launched.

“Here at Citizens Bank & Trust, we know that maintaining a values-driven culture has enabled our success,” said Susan Tully, the Bank’s COO. “Our Bank has naturally operated by and formed these values since the Bank’s inception, but we felt it was time to make it official and we enlisted employees to help make this happen.”

Citizens Bank & Trust also launched its Employee Volunteer Program, “Spirit of Citizens” at their June 29 employee meeting. The program gives employees time off from work to volunteer in the community.

“Giving back is a deep part of the culture at our Bank, not only in the form of monetary donations, but also in the form volunteer hours,” said Charlie Williams, President/CEO of the Bank. “We give, we make time for community events, we sit on Boards, and in general, we participate in the lives of many within the communities we serve.” Williams explained that the Bank’s core values drive decisions made by board and employees.
