Citizens Celebrates Bus Drivers at Arab City Schools

Citizens Bank & Trust celebrated School Bus Driver Appreciation Day by serving the drivers of Arab City Schools.

School Bus Driver Appreciation Day in Alabama is celebrated on January 29th and the Arab City Schools Bus Drivers gathered at the bus shop for lunch, laughs, and fellowship on Wednesday.

“We are truly glad to be a part of the Arab community, a place that is filled with so many great people,” Arab Customer Service Representative, Susan Gutierrez, said. "As an organization built on Christian values, choosing to make a difference in the communities we serve is a priority for us. We were proud to be able to show our appreciation in a small way for the big job that this group does every day”.

The Bank provided lunch and gift bags to the drivers. “Thank You” signs were placed at each school and the student bus-riders and teachers joined in on showing their appreciation by making signs to hold as the drivers approached each school.

“It was such a pleasant opportunity to meet these folks, share a meal, and some laughs,” Marketing Officer, Kasey Culbert, said. “This is really what community banking is all about – being a part of the community, finding opportunities to serve, and building relationships. It was a great day indeed”.
